Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of englishrefresher.com and your purchase of our digital products. Please read them carefully — by using the site or placing an order, you agree to them.
1.Who we are & these terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to your use of the website englishrefresher.com ("the website") and to any digital products you buy from us. By using the website or placing an order, you confirm that you accept these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website.

2.Using our website
- The website and its free content are provided for your personal, educational use.
- Some features or purchases may require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity that happens under your account.
- We work to keep the website available and accurate, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, suspend, or withdraw parts of the website at any time.
3.Our products & prices
We sell digital English-learning products — such as lesson materials, worksheets, slides, and PDFs — which are delivered to you electronically. They are not supplied on any physical medium.
Prices are shown on each product page in the applicable currency. As we are not VAT-registered, no VAT is added. We try to keep all prices and descriptions accurate; if an obvious error is found (for example, a clearly incorrect price), we may cancel the affected order and refund any payment you have made.
4.Orders & payment
- When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy. A contract is formed once we confirm your order and make the product available to you.
- Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details — see our Privacy Policy.
- We may decline or cancel an order — for example in cases of suspected fraud, a pricing error, or if a product becomes unavailable — and will refund any payment already taken.
5.Delivery of digital products
Your products are delivered electronically: a download link is provided on your order confirmation and/or in your account, normally immediately or shortly after your payment is confirmed.
- Please make sure the email address you give us is correct, and check your spam folder if you do not see your confirmation.
- You are responsible for having a device and standard software (for example, a PDF reader) able to open the files.
- If you do not receive access within a reasonable time, contact us at [email protected] and we will help.
6.Right of withdrawal & refunds
As a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase without giving a reason.
Important — digital downloads. For digital content that is delivered electronically (not on a physical medium), this 14-day right does not apply once delivery has started, where you have given your prior express consent to immediate delivery and acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal (EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU; Czech Civil Code § 1837).
By completing your purchase and downloading or accessing the product, you give that express consent and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal for that product.
This does not affect your statutory rights if a product is faulty, corrupted, or significantly not as described. In that case, contact us and we will repair, replace, or refund the product as appropriate. If something has genuinely gone wrong or you bought a product by mistake, please email us — we deal with every reasonable request fairly.
7.Licence to use our products
All content on the website and in our products is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property rights.
When you buy a product, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for your own personal and classroom teaching purposes. This means:
You may
- Use and print the materials for your own lessons and your own students.
You may not
- Resell, redistribute, share, sublicense, or publish the materials.
- Upload them to any public website, file-sharing service, or other platform.
- Claim the materials as your own or remove any copyright or branding.
These restrictions protect the work that goes into creating the materials and keep them sustainable for everyone.
8.Acceptable use
When using the website, you agree not to:
- Use it in any unlawful or fraudulent way, or for any harmful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its server, or any connected systems.
- Introduce malware, or scrape, harvest, or otherwise collect data from the website by automated means without our permission.
- Interfere with or disrupt the website or other users' use of it.
9.Our liability
Our products are provided for educational purposes. While we create them with care, we cannot guarantee any specific outcome — for example, that you or your students will achieve a particular grade or pass a particular exam.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or for indirect or consequential loss.
10.Your privacy & cookies
How we collect and use your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy, and how we use cookies is explained in our Cookie Policy. By using the website, you acknowledge that you have read them.
11.Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic, and the Czech courts have jurisdiction. As a consumer, you also keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live.
If you have a complaint, please contact us first at [email protected] — we aim to resolve issues quickly and fairly. If we cannot resolve a dispute together, you have the right to use out-of-court dispute resolution through the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), the competent body for consumer disputes: coi.cz.
12.Changes to these terms & how to contact us
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one published on this page when you place it, and the "Last updated" date above shows the latest revision. For any question about these Terms, email [email protected].
