New free lessons
Grammar, reading, listening, discussion. Planned, written, tested with real students — then published free for everyone.
No paywall. No sign-up wall. No spam. That's the deal at English Refresher — free lessons, exam practice, and classroom games for any teacher or student who needs them. Donations are what keep that deal alive.
Picture your planning period. You need one decent worksheet. You find it — behind a paywall. You find another — behind a sign-up form that spams you for a year. Sound familiar?
That's why English Refresher exists. I wanted a place where the material is actually good, actually free, and ready in two clicks. So I built it. Lessons, grammar guides, exam practice, classroom games. All open, no strings.
But free to use isn't free to make. Hosting costs money. Audio costs money. The hours cost the most. Every donation goes back into the site — so the next teacher who lands here at 10 p.m. finds what they need, free, just like you did.
Nothing fancy happens to your donation. It pays for four things, and all four end up back in your classroom.
Grammar, reading, listening, discussion. Planned, written, tested with real students — then published free for everyone.
Recorded listening tasks, self-scoring quizzes, classroom games. The most expensive materials to produce — and the most requested.
Cambridge and Maturita preparation that students would otherwise pay for. Full practice tests, kept free and up to date.
Servers, audio storage, and the tools that keep hundreds of pages online, fast, and working on every device.
