Debate Battle Royale
Two teams, one motion, and the clock ticking. Each round, the wheel picks a motion and assigns the sides — then you argue. Score points for persuasion, sharp discourse markers and cautious, well-judged hedging. The team with the most points wins the battle.
How to play
- Two teams. Name your teams. Sides (For / Against) are assigned each round and swap every round, so everyone argues both ways.
- Spin the motion. The wheel lands on a debate motion. Teams get prep time to plan their arguments.
- Debate. Each side gives a timed opening argument, then both teams clash in an open rebuttal.
- Score the language. Rate each team on persuasion, discourse markers, hedging and rebuttal. Those points go to their total.
- Win the battle. Highest total after all rounds wins. Use the language reference if you need a boost.
