Debate Battle Royale

Two teams, one motion, and the clock ticking. Each round, the wheel picks a motion and assigns the sides — then you argue. Score points for persuasion, sharp discourse markers and cautious, well-judged hedging. The team with the most points wins the battle.

How to play
  1. Two teams. Name your teams. Sides (For / Against) are assigned each round and swap every round, so everyone argues both ways.
  2. Spin the motion. The wheel lands on a debate motion. Teams get prep time to plan their arguments.
  3. Debate. Each side gives a timed opening argument, then both teams clash in an open rebuttal.
  4. Score the language. Rate each team on persuasion, discourse markers, hedging and rebuttal. Those points go to their total.
  5. Win the battle. Highest total after all rounds wins. Use the language reference if you need a boost.
