5. Write a short essay (8-10 sentences).

   • Organize your essay with an introduction, body, and conclusion.

Example:

I believe that smartphones are the most useful communication technology. A smartphone is a mobile device that combines a phone with internet access and various apps. It allows people to make calls, send texts, and use messaging apps to stay in touch with others. One of the biggest advantages is video calling, which lets people see each other while talking, making communication more personal. For example, during the COVID-19 pandemic, I used video calls to stay connected with my grandparents. Smartphones also let you share photos and videos easily, making it simple to share moments of your life. Overall, smartphones have made communication faster and more convenient, connecting people no matter where they are.
