Objective: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to participate in mock interviews and networking scenarios, understand professional jargon and interview strategies, comprehend career development articles and job market analyses, listen to interviews with professionals and career advice podcasts, and craft resumes, cover letters, and professional biographies.

Duration: 90 minutes

 

Warm-Up (10 minutes): Start the lesson by discussing the importance of professional development and career advancement. Ask students to share their career aspirations and any experiences they have had with job interviews or networking.

Speaking Practice (20 minutes):

  1. Provide students with mock interview questions and scenarios relevant to their field of interest.
  2. Pair students up and have them take turns conducting mock interviews, focusing on professionalism and confidence.
  3. After the interviews, facilitate a debriefing session where students provide feedback to each other on their performance.

Vocabulary Enrichment (15 minutes):

  1. Introduce professional jargon and interview strategies to the students, providing examples and explanations of their usage.
