Sample Response 1: Personal Impact

Prompt: What steps do you take in your daily life to reduce your environmental impact?

Example:
In my daily life, I try to make small changes that collectively reduce my environmental impact. For example, I always bring a reusable bag when I go shopping, and I avoid buying products with excessive plastic packaging. I also try to walk or bike instead of driving whenever possible, which not only reduces my carbon footprint but also helps me stay active. At home, I’m conscious about saving energy—I turn off lights when I leave a room, and I’ve replaced most of my old light bulbs with energy-efficient LED ones. Additionally, I make an effort to recycle properly and compost organic waste. While these might seem like small actions, I believe that if everyone makes similar efforts, it can lead to significant positive change.

Sample Response 2: Climate Change

Prompt: What are your thoughts on the current state of climate change? Do you believe enough is being done to address it?

Example:
I’m quite concerned about the current state of climate change because the evidence of its impact is becoming more and more apparent. We’re seeing more extreme weather events, like intense hurricanes, wildfires, and floods, which are affecting millions of people around the world. Unfortunately, I don’t think enough is being done to address it, especially on a global scale. While some countries are making progress by investing in renewable energy and setting ambitious targets to reduce emissions, others are still heavily reliant on fossil fuels and are slow to take meaningful action. I believe that stronger international cooperation is needed, with all countries committing to more aggressive measures. It’s also important for individuals to take responsibility by making eco-friendly choices, but without significant changes in government policies and corporate practices, it will be difficult to make the necessary impact.
